2 days to the big concert!

Hello everybody. As Saturday approaches, nerves take over. Australian Day promises to be a great day of fun in Ho Chi Minh City.

Yesterday was our final general rehearsal, fine tuning some songs, taking out others and finalising details on the harmonies.

Los Tres Amigos at the end will be "Dos" of them. Claudio will not be able to make it, for he will be on call at the hospital that day. So, Lucas and myself will have to represent him and make the best out of the band.

Here a list of the repertoir:
  1. Chan chan (Buena Vista Social Club)
  2. La bamba
  3. Hace Calor (Los Rodríguez)
  4. Bachata Rosa (Juan Luis Guerra)
  5. Candela (Chayanne)
  6. No woman no cry (Bob Marley)
  7. Let it be -salsa version- (The Beatles)
  8. Rayando el sol (Maná)
  9. Corazón espinado (Santana with Maná)
  10. Guantanera
  11. Oye cómo va (Just in case)

Saying good bye for kids is always something great to witness. When I asked Yil and Lía if they were going to the airport too, they both ejected a simple "no" as if I was asking them if they wanted more tomatoes on their plate. Well, Zev and Siebe didn't take it personal. Before hopping on the van, they had a farewell scene at the terrace with the Yil and Lía... Hugs? Noooo. They shaked hands and almost touched each other shoulders as a sign of a hug. But they were happy with that "good bye". You could see in their eyes the "we had a great time, didn't we" look. When they the van went away they all kept waving good bye from the back window, with their smiles... and with tears in their eyes. We loved the time with you guys here!! See you soon. Posted by Hello

Snif, snif! Today the Clarebout-Bellemans left back to Belgium. See in these pictures some of the fun he had together. An and Eva are both beautiful in the middle picture, aren't they! Posted by Hello

Before-During-After the 9th Anniversary

"When a man loves a woman..." that was the title of our 9th anniversary on the 6th of January. An got a card that was worth a haircut (to me) under her directions to the hair dresser. And... she loved it. It seams even that she loves me more now... could that be? Well, anyhow, we went for a great diner at the Sheraton invited by Patje & Eva and then to the night club at the 23rd floor, where the band let me sing Corazón Espinado for my wife. Definetly we had fun! HAPPY ANNIVERSARY MY LIFE!! Posted by Hello

So many things to see that it is even possible for the kids to be calm and quiet...or are they ready for a siesta?! Posted by Hello

Here we are in the Verdeja Villa in Ho Chi Minh City. We are all fitting on one table and Maria Luisa (our Nanny) is taking the picture. After lunch we will take a swim in the pool behind us! Posted by Hello

Here is Tante An with the 4 big kids on the front of the boat in the Mekong Delta. This really feels like being in Vietnam. Posted by Hello
