International School Choir Performance 3 of June 04

After a whole school year of rehearsals it paid off. The choir directed by Deb Ross and composed by a lot of women and myself decided that we "should do something" before the school year ends. So we invited close friends and family (very safe isn't it?) to share with us a couple of songs we put together. So informal, that everyone brought their own drinks and food.

In the other hand, Lauren (the art teacher) and I were rehearsing some acustic songs on a weekly basis in order to go and sing them somewhere sometime... or just to have fun. The time cought us up and she decided to go back to Canada in the summer... so we also had to do something before she goes away. So we included our best two rehearsed songs ("The leader of the band" and "The boxer") in the choir repertoir. The result: it was great. We had fun. And I, for the first time was able to learn and sing "the leader of the band" that in my heart and with 3 hidden tears I dedicated to Papá that night. An, Yil and Lía were there too. It was a beautiful night.
