Hoy recibimos mails de la escuela de los niños y de la embajada de Bélgica.

On 19 September 2006 the Thai Army Commander General Sonthi Buyayakharin announced that a Reform Council had taken over the administration of the country. A nationwide state of Martial law has been declared.
At this moment, the situation in the capital Bangkok is quiet.
The Belgian embassy advises its citizens to avoid unnecessary movements and to stay away from any demonstrations or large crowds. Travelling to and from Thailand remains possible, the international airports are open. The embassy urges travelers who need to travel to Thailand in the coming days to monitor all available information on the situation and keep in contact with their tour operator.
In case of emergency, you can contact the Belgian Embassy in Bangkok at +66-(0)2-679 54 54 ext. 0 or at the emergency number +66-(0)8-1833 9987.

School Close on Wednesday, September 20
By Bill GERRITZ
The coup attempt beginning on Tuesday evening has created a high level of uncertainty about safety and security in the Bangkok area. We have therefore decided to close school for Wednesday, September 20.
A decision about opening school on Thursday will be made by 6 PM on Wednesday. We will update the ISB website and send further eNewsletters as the situation develops. Please now rely on the website and eNewsletters rather than our phone trees for the latest information
